Just decided to go back to the tilemap system. I started with reducing the memory footprint down. So I did some work to prepare for the whole change. I guess I have to convert the old files to the new ones. Making sure not to overwrite the old ones. But converting them shouldn’t be too difficult actually. Would be lovely if we can load tilemaps on 3DS after this. Though I expect some streaming system to be implemented to reduce the memory footprint during runtime.
